Alexa Renay Higgins of Columbus, Ohio, will become the bride of Andrew David Sorah of Calhoun in a 4 p.m. ceremony on Aug. 16 at the Chapel at Camp Living Stones in Englewood.

The forthcoming marriage is announced by the parents of the bride, Maryann and Lamin Daffeh of Columbus and Mark and Rebecca Higgins of Avon, Ohio. The future bridegroom is the son of Jonathan and Denise Sorah of Calhoun.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Margaret Lamoncha of Ohio and the late Russell Lamoncha and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ray Higgs. She is the sister of Sophia Higgins, Amelia Daffeh and Laryn “Jeremiah” Creighton, all of Ohio.

Miss Higgins is a 2009 graduate of Hilliard-Davidson High School in Hilliard, Ohio, and a 2013 graduate of Millian College, where she received a bachelor of science degree in chemistry.

She attends Calhoun First Baptist Church where the future bridegroom is a member.

Mr. Sorah is the grandson of Pauline Pierce of Cleveland and the late Marvin Pierce and the Rev. and Mrs. Ron Sorah of Calhoun. He is the brother of J. Paul Sorah of Atlanta.

He is a 2009 graduate of Walker Valley High School and a 2013 graduate of East Tennessee State University. He received a bachelor of science degree from the College of Public Health and is in the physician’s assistant program at DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine.
