Mark Ryan Duggan said he arrived home early Tuesday morning and found someone had entered his home.
There were no signs of forced entry to the residence, according to Kimsey.
Missing was a television, a Sony PlayStation, games and some sports equipment.
Criminal Investigations Division investigator Mike Hughes responded to the scene and collected evidence from the burglary.
The missing items were valued at $1,170.
Investigation is continuing.

Paul Nessmith of a Bigsby Creek Road address said he had been out of town and returned home and discovered his home had been burglarized.
Nessmith and his wife had been away from their home since December due to medical reasons, according to the report.
They were unsure when the burglary may have occurred.
According to the report, a Sharp flat-screen television, a Toshiba flat-screen television, DVD movies, a DVD player, a Craftsman chain saw, Ryobi weed trimmer, a Stihl backpack blower, a Dewalt drill, a pearl necklace and a set of knives were among items missing from the Nessmith home.
Wilson responded to the scene to aid in the initial investigation.
The missing items were valued at over $3,000.
n Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting Drivers’ License Roadside Safety Checkpoints in Polk County beginning this weekend.
The checkpoints will be set up in random location in the county.
According to THP officials, checkpoints are an effective means of recognizing the dangers presented to the driving public, by motorists who would violate the drivers license laws of the state.
All scheduled checkpoints are contingent upon weather conditions and manpower availability.
