Walker Valley senior punter Caleb Houston has elected to continue his football career at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.

He made his commitment to UCF head coach George O’Leary on March 27. The UCF Knights are members of Conference USA and are moving to the Big East Conference in 2013.

Houston selected UCF after interest from numerous schools including Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee Tech, Carson-Newman, Georgia Tech, Southern Alabama, and Western Illinois.

He led the area in punting with a 42.3 yard average and was selected as first team All District 5 and Best of the Preps for the Chattanooga area.

“I am very excited to play for Coach O’Leary.” Houston said. “I will enroll this summer and expect to contribute to the program right away. This is a great opportunity for me.”
