Yashema Davis of Cleveland became the bride of Aristotle Huffman of Chicago, Ill., in an evening ceremony on Aug. 21, 2010, at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Angela and O’Neal Ware and Alphonso “Octavia” Pugh, all of Cleveland. The bridegroom is the son of Melvin Adams and Virginia Huffman of Chicago.

The bride is the granddaughter of Edwin and Evelyn Davis and Ed Johnson, all of Cleveland.

The uncle of the bridegroom, Jesse Huffman, officiated the wedding ceremony. Nuptial music was provided by Jermaine Purifory and Sophia Phillips.

Presented in marriage by her parents, the bride was attended by her sister, Demetra Ware, and cousin, Shneka Whaley, of Cleveland, as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were the bridegroom’s sister, Lasheaba Harding of Chicago, Lakema Nalory of Cleveland, Asata Jones of Memphis and LaShondria Agee and Kizzy Garfield, both of Birmingham, Ala.

Junior bridesmaids were Destinee Davis of Cleveland and Ta’Mya Blair of Chattanooga.

The bridegroom’s brother, Costellano Huffman, and Brandon McKinnor of Chicago served as best men. Groomsmen were Gaulloto Adams of Chicago, Robert Huffman of Mississippi, Reginald Smith of Atlanta, Ga., Michael Griffin of Phoenix, Ariz., and Curtis Cannon of Knoxville. Junior groomsmen were bride’s son, Quantavius Cobb, and bridegroom’s son, Deontae Huffman.

The bride’s brothers, O’Neal Ware, Cori Pugh and Alphonso Pugh, served as ushers.

The couple’s daughter Ariyah Huffman, the bridegroom’s daughter Anaya Huffman of Chicago, along with Harmonie Ware, Love Howard, Ma’Kyah Westfield and Jayda Davis, all of Cleveland, were flower girls. GerMycah Jordan of Cleveland was the ring bearer.
