Hunter Ross Manning, 26, a resident of Clahoun, passed away at his resident on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, surrounded by his family.

He attended Lamontville Baptist Church. He attended Calhoun Elementary School and graduated from McMinn County High School in 2007.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James O. Farmer and Georgia Manning.

He is survived by his father, Joe Manning of Decatur; mother and stepfather, Dorothy F. and Lewis Teague of Calhoun; brother, Cody Manning of Cleveland; grandfather, Earl L. Manning of Dalton, Ga.; and grandmother, Gladys Farmer of Calhoun.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Williams officiating.

Interment will follow in Short Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in McMinn with Chris Baxter, Justin Baxter, Craig Simpson, Matt Simpson, Larry Baker and Lance Manning serving as pallbearers. Steven Westfall will serve as an honorary pallbearer. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at at the funeral home.
