The Cherokee Hiking Club will meet Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Golden Corral Restaurant. A short business meeting will follow the Dutch-treat dinner.

A benefit singing for Bubba Wooten Jr. will be held at the Old Fashion Gospel Tabernacle, Harrison Pike on Hannah Drive, Friday. There will be food at 5 p.m. and a singing at 7 p.m.

The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE) will meet Thursday at noon at St. Therese Catholic Church. Andy Hunt, librarian at the Cleveland Public Library, will be the guest speaker. He will discuss the many resources available at the library, how they are changing and the recent improvements at the library.
