A community worship and benefit singing for Reneida Anderson will be held Sunday at 6 p.m. at Samples Memorial Baptist Church. Featured groups will be Boanerges, Voices of Praise, Calvary, Calvarys’ Blend, Thankful and Spirit Song.

There will be a benefit singing for The Rev. Eddie Hayes, (who has had surgery), at Community Chapel Church of God, 1807 Blythe Ave., Aug. 31 at 7 p.m. The singers will be Pearl and Grady Simpson, Debbie Earwood, Greg Casto and his quartet, and others.

A benefit will be held for Berneda Harris, at Cleveland Cornerstone Church, 533 Broad St., Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. There will be barbecue sandwich, baked beans, slaw, chips, dessert and drinks for $7. There will be singing from 6 p.m. with singing gospel groups, Ole’ Friends and Singing Grace.
