Thanksgiving Dinner for the less fortunate and shut-ins will be held Thursday at Washington Avenue Baptist Church fellowship hall, 1720 Perry St. Dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Cleveland Transit will be closed Thursday in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. It will operate a limited but free schedule Friday.

A big Christmas auction will be held Thursday, beginning at 4 p.m., at Unity Church of God, 3150 Fulbright Road, in the big building. Thanksgiving dinner will be served at 3 p.m.
