The Bradley County Democratic Party headquarters, 147 Inman Street, is now open for information on the Democratic candidates running for the Tennessee and National elective offices and for the registering of voters.The headquarters will be open Monday through Saturday until after the Nov. 6, election from 1 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Bain-Watson reunion will be held Saurday Sept. 1 at Cookson Creek Baptist Church in Polk County with a covered dish meal at noon.

A community worship and benefit singing for Reneida Anderson, will be held at 6 tonight at Samples Memorial Baptist Church. Featured groups will be Boanerges, Voice of Prasise, Calvary, Voices of Praise, Calvarys’ Blend, Thankful and Spirit Song.

Charles Towler will be leading a singing school at the Ladd Springs Church of God, Ladd Springs Road S.E. beginning Thursday, from 7 to 8 p.m. and contining each Thursday night in September.

The Retired Ministers and Widows Association of the Cleveland and Chattanooga area will meet at the Ooltewah Church of God Sept. 4 at 10 a.m. Special music and singing will be presented with a covered dish following in the church fellowship hall.

There will be a benefit singing for The Rev. Eddie Hayes, (who has had surgery), at Community Chapel Church of God, 1807 Blythe Ave. Aug. 31 at 7 p.m. The singers will be Pearl and Grady Simpson, Debbie Earwood, Greg Casto and his quartet and others.
