She was a member of Valley View Baptist Church, where she had a longtime involvement in the food ministry. She was a school bus driver for Bradley County Schools for 20 years. She loved to farm and enjoyed watching her cattle graze.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C.L. Disney; parents, Roger and Ida Crane Hamby; brothers: Robert Hamby and John L. Hamby; sister, Ruth Olsson; and grandchildren, Matthew Robinson and Emily Robinson.
Survivors include her son, Roger Disney of Cleveland; daughters: Janet Phillips and Joyce Sotack, both of Alpharetta, Ga., and Judy Graham of Cleveland; grandchildren: Jennifer Hudson, Chris Phillips, Davis Phillips, Brian Robinson, Erin Robinson, Laura Patterson, Evan Davis, Anna Davis, Jess Disney and Lisa Disney; sister, Yvonne Olsson of Cleveland, 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. today, July 27, 2011, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor David Tuten officiating.
Interment will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2011, in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Brian Patterson, Evan Davis, Chris Phillips, Chris Duggan, Carl Hudson and Jess Disney serving as pallbearers.
A white dove release will conclude the ceremony.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 this evening at the funeral home prior to the service.
