Jackie Forrest Bryson Jr, 51, a resident of Cleveland, passed away at his home Saturday, June 8, 2013, following a year long and hard fought battle with cancer.

God looked down and saw he needed a special flower for his garden, so he picked Jackie.

He was born on Nov. 9, 1961, in Pinehurst, N.C., a son of the late Jackie Forrest Bryson Sr. and Bertha Marie Garner Bryson.

He was employed at Shaw Industries for 25 years. He was working at Lowe’s of Cleveland for the past two years. He loved his job and the many people with whom he worked.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory one sister, Pamala McIntosh and husband, Brian, of Cleveland; one brother, Tony Lynn Bryson of Dalton, Ga.; several nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts; and several special lifelong friends: Kenny Green, Kevin Green, Ricky Franks, Linda Larman and Bob and Zanna Bradley.

A memorial service is planned for Sunday, June 16, 2013, at 3 p.m. at United Memorial Gardens in Dalton, Ga., with Bob Bradley officiating.

The family requests memorial donations be made in Jackie’s memory to Hospice of Chattanooga.
