T.R. and Debbie Jackson of Oneonta, Ala., announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Carmen Danielle, to Zachary Shaun Thurman, son of Darrell and Susan Thurman, all of Cleveland.

The couple will wed on July 28 at Twin Oaks at Heritage Golf in Oneonta.

Miss Jackson is the granddaughter of Carolyn Ford of Oneonta and the late Autrey Ford and the late Roosevelt and Vareda Burns Jackson. She is the sister of Dana Jackson Owens and Matt Owens, both of Oneonta.

A 2006 graduate of Appalachian High School and a 2010 graduate of Lee University with a bachelor of science degree in accounting and business administration, the bride-to-be is an accountant at Life Care Centers of America’s corporate office. She is a member of World Outreach Center in Oneonta, along with her family.

Mr. Thurman is the grandson of Verlin and Louise Webb Green of Cleveland, Imogene Loudermilk Thurman of Cleveland and the late Jack Thurman. He is the brother of Matthew Thurman and Erica Cain Thurman, both of Hixson.

A 2004 graduate of Walker Valley High School and a 2008 graduate of Lee University with a bachelor of science degree in accounting and business adminstration, Mr. Thurman works at Arnett, Kirksey, Kimsey, Sullivan, Lay & Hall PLLC in Cleveland. He is a member of the McDonald United Methodist Church, along with his family.

The couple plans to reside in Cleveland.
