James “Bud” Edward Mulkey Sr., passed away Sunday, March, 2, 2014.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He worked as an auto mechanic for Chevron until his retirement. He was an active member of Georgetown Baptist Church

He was preceded in death by parents, Malcom R. Mulkey and Agnes Lively; first wife, Evelyn Mulkey; and a brother, Richard Mulkey.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Mulkey; son, James “Bud” (Laura) Mulkey; daughters: Sherri (Billy) Chauncey and Terri (Mike) Stacks; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Mike Green; and sisters: Toni Munsey and Teresa Dill.

The family will receive friends today, March 5, 2014, from 4 to 8 p.m. at funeral home and on Thursday from noon to 2:30 p.m.

The funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014, in the chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 5401 Highway 153 in Hixson, with Pastor Earl Farris officiating.

Interment will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.

He was also employed at Hardwick Clothes and was a cherished employee who will be greatly missed.
