James Jonthan “J.J.” Leroy, 24, a resident of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013 at his home.

He was born in Chattanooga, on Nov. 17, 1988, a son of the late Ronnie White.

He was of the Baptist faith.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Sarah Leroy, of Decatur; two sisters: Heather Walker of Ooltewah and Amy Walker of Decatur; two brothers: Shane Leroy of McDonald and Blake Harden of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews; and other extended family members and friends.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Bancroft Church of God located at 180 Bancroft Road in McDonald with Pastor Brenda Woods officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bancroft cemetery with Blake Harden, Timmy, McDaniel, Terry McDaniel, Phillip McCoin, Lee Blankenship, Ben Earman, Matthew Henry and Daniel Foote serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday, from noon until the 2 p.m. service time.
