James Dean Kendrick, 54, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 11, 2014, in a local hospital.

He was born on June 17, 1959, a son of the late Jimmy Buck Kendrick.

He was of the Pentecostal faith a member of the River of Life Holiness Church. He loved to work on small engines. He also loved to help in his church, but his greatest love was to share witness to his faith and share God's love with others.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by one brother Phillips Eugene Kendrick.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 16 years, Brenda Lott Kendrick; his mother, Margie Kendrick of Cohutta, Ga.; three sisters: Barbara Brewster (Terry) of Chatsworth, Ga., Joan Blevins (Jimmie Ray) and Brenda Killian (Dwight) both of Cohutta; two brother: Tommy Kendrick (Stephaine) and Johnny Kendrick (Teresa) both of Cleveland; and numerous other extended family members, church family and a host of special friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the River of Life Holiness Church located at 167 Oak Grove Road in Cleveland.

A celebration of his life is planned for Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the River of Life Holiness Church with Pastor Jimmy Porter officiating. Interment will follow in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery in Cohutta, Ga.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made in Dean's memory to the River of Life Holiness Church.
