He was born on May 26, 1942, to the late Denver and Bonnie Blevins, pioneer residents of Dade County, Ga. He was a truck driver by trade, driving for Pilgram’s Pride for more than 30 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Donna Hunter Blevins; three sons: Brian Blevins, Ryan Hunter and Shawn Hunter; one brother, Levoy Blevins; four sisters: Edna Earl McBryar, Dimple Wheeler, Opal Privette, and Ernestine Hatcher; and seven grandchildren: Luke Blevins, Samantha Blevins, Destiny Lolling, Caleb Hunter, Corwin Hunter, Trinity Drenner and Abigail Hunter.
The funeral will be held at Freedom Fellowship, 3555 Blue Springs Road, Cleveland, TN 37311, on Thursday, May 3, 2012, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Art Miller officiating.
The body will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery with Ryan Hunter, Shawn Hunter, Gary Bradford, Timothy Hennington, Brian Blevins and Douglas Ashley serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends in the parlor of Companion Funeral and Cremation Services located at 2415 Georgetown Road N.W., Cleveland TN 37311, Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
