She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, “Buck” Dodson; parents, Albert Goerndt, and Dorothy Theide Goerndt; twin sons, Tommy and Jimmy Dodson; sisters, Ruth McGuire, and Mary Lou Goerndt; and brother, Robert Goerndt.
She is survived by three children: Vicky Coffelt and husband, Charlie, of Chattanooga, John Dodson and wife, Christy, of Cleveland and Jennie Johnson of McDonald; and six grandchildren: Bonnie Phillips, Cameron Szpur, Charity Szpur, Bradley Coffelt, Jordyn Dodson and Brittany Coffelt.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Atwood officiating.
Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery.
A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
