Jennifer Doreen Whitehead Glover, 53, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, Feb. 25, 2013.

She played basketball at Oak Grove Elementary School and won the Zandra Montgomery Basketball Award.

She delivered Cleveland Daily Banner newspapers for 13 years and also owned Jenny’s Video and Deli on Spring Place Road.

She was a member at Candies Creek Baptist Church.

She liked to go camping and fishing and enjoyed the outdoors. She loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willard “Duke” Whitehead; and granddaughter, Kaydence Brooks.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Glover of Cleveland; mother, Sylvia Whitehead of Cleveland; children: Christopher Brooks and fiancée, Heather Price, and Wesley Glover and fiancé, Brandi Ellis, all of Cleveland; stepchildren: Lawrence Glover and Jada Doyle and husband, Craig, all of Morristown, and Robin Glover of Charleston, S.C.; granddaughter, Gracie Glover; stepgrandchildren: Micah McAbee and Zach Doyle; brothers: Robert D. Whitehead, Donald L. Whitehead and Gregory A. Whitehead and wife, Lisa, all of Cleveland; special uncle, Reg Hedger of Perth, Australia; very special nephew, Brett Whitehead; several nieces and nephews; and “special best friend,” Robin Roe of Cleveland.

The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, in the chapel of Grissom Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Pearson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
