Jerry Joan Thompson, 64 a resident of Old Fort, died Thursday, April 12, 2012, in a local hospital.
She was a retired corporate auditor for the federal government and was a past vice president for the Treasury Union.
Before moving to Cleveland she moved from Ogden, Utah, to Nashville because of her career.
She was a dedicated volunteer at the Cleveland Caring Place and was a member of the First Church of The Nazarene.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Dawn Thompson.
Survivors include her daughter, Paula Sue Wilcoxon and her husband, Billy, of Old Fort; son, Donald Rhodes and his wife, Patti, of Roy, Utah; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; sisters: Jackie Romero of Killeen Texas, Janet Huston and Judy Bacon, both of Ogden; two very special people in her life, Dewey Renner of Texas and Joyce Miller of Colorado; several nieces and nephews; and her special pet, her dog Oreo.
A Remembrance of Life memorial service was held at 6 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2012, at First Church of the Nazarene on Henderson Avenue in Cleveland with Pastor David Oneal officiating.
Her cremains will be laid to rest next to her daughter in Utah.
The Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes had charge of arrangements.
