He was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County.
He was a son of the late Louie Mashburn. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Palmer Mashburn.
He was a former employee of Coleman Glass and a member of Watson’s Chapel.
Survivors include his mother, Bertha Breedwell Mashburn of Athens; two daughters and sons-in-law: Trisha and Casey Akins and April and Milan Melton, all of Cleveland; five grandchildren: Taylor, Macey, Chase, Kaylee, and Alivia; one sister, Jane Wilson of Athens; brother-in-law, Leonard Palmer of Loudon; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Wanda and Charlie Kennedy of Loudon; and five nieces and nephews: Mike Wnuk, Missy Driskill, Adam Wilson, Amy Murphy and Austin Wilson.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Clearwater Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Davis officiating.
Ziegler Funeral Home of Athens has been entrusted with the care of Jerry Lee Mashburn.
