Jerry Wayne Partin, 74, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012, in a Chattanooga hospital.

He was a member of Westwood Baptist Church.

He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Navy. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion Post 81, the Fleet Reserve Association and was retired from Cleveland Bank and Trust.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert Partin and Hannah Orick Partin; brothers: Willard Partin, William “Bo” Partin and Willie Partin; and sisters: Bessie Parker and Betty Sue Ball.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Ella J. Partin, of Cleveland; daughter, Leigh Ann Boyd and her husband, Bill, of Cleveland; sister, Lois Benson of California; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. today, April 17, 2012, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Rusty Asble officiating.

Interment will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012, in Jellico Cemetery in Jellico with military honors.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 this evening at the funeral home prior to the service.
