She served as a librarian and taught preschool at Hopewell Elementary School.
Survivors include sisters: Pam McAchren of Athens, Kahani Skydance of Arcata, Calif., Karen Earl of Athens and Judy Tanguay of San Jose, Calif.; brothers: Rick McAchren and Bill McAchren, both of Erie, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. today, Nov. 27, 2012, at First Baptist Church of Athens with Dr. Jason Clark officiating.
Interment will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Ken Earl and Butch Smith.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at the church.
