Jimmy Glen Jennette Sr., 73, was born in Scranton, N.C., on Sept. 28, 1939.

He passed away on Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at his home after a lengthy illness with family members at his side.

He was of the Christian faith.

He worked his entire career in the professional insulating union, Local Union No. 83, in Norfolk, Va., from which he retired.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Levine Jennette of North Carolina; two brothers: Cecil Jennette and Edward Donald Jennette; one sister, Zelda; and two sons: Jimmy Glen Jennette Jr. and Daniel “Danny” Ray Jennette.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, one sister, Barbara Jean Jennette of Virginia; one son, Robert “Bobby” Donald Jennette and special friend, Cyndie Lynn; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, family members, and friends, all of the greater Cleveland area.

A Remembrance of Life Memorial service will be held at the Restoration Fellowship Family Worship Center at a future date to be announced by the family.
