She was a former employee with Charleston Hosiery Mill and attended Beacon Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Terry “Ray” Bivens Sr.; three sons: Charles Keith Childs, Christopher Thomas Childs and Matthew Joseph Bivens, all of Georgetown; stepson, Terry Ray Bivens of Crossville; stepdaughter, Melissa Ann Crowe of Cleveland; grandchildren: Elizabeth Marie Childs, Emily Ellen Childs, Erin Rae Childs, Jordan Matthew Bivens, Austin Lane Bivens, Chase Ryan Bivens, Katie Louise Crowe and Ryley David Crowe; one brother, Thomas Ray Humphrey of Decatur; one sister, Jennifer Colleen Hicks of Georgetown; several nieces and nephews, as well as her mother-in-law, Rose Bivens, of Benton and father-in-law, Jesse Bivens, of Dalton; four sisters-in-law; and four brothers-in-law.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2013, at the North Ocoee Street Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Revs. Floyd Boggess and James Goss officiating.
Interment will follow in the Lee Cemetery in Georgetown with Steve Mangrum, Daniel McCurry, Austin Bivens, Matthew Bivens, Thomas Humphrey and Keith Childs serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends Friday from noon until the service time at the funeral home.
