Johnathon Messer, 21, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, Aug. 5, 2013.

He was a 2010 graduate of Bradley Central High School and was currently a student at Lee University studying Psychology.

He was employed with Check into Cash and was of the Church of God faith. He loved God and watching wrestling.

Survivors include his father, Johnny Messer; his mother, Georgia Hindman; two brothers: Ryan Messer and Josh Messer, all of Cleveland; three sisters: Holly Latham of Englewood and Stephanie Goodine and Carla Moody, both of Cleveland; grandmothers: JoAnn Messer and Anna Mae Ross, both of Cleveland; a special aunt, Nancy Messer, of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at Prospect Church of God with Pastor Timothy Gann officiating.

Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery with Josh Messer, Ryan Messer, Dennis Goodine, Quanza Smith, Roman Prok, Zeth Messer and Hernando Ramirez serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral homes.
