He was born on Feb. 23, 1931, a son of the late Howard and Bertha Clowers.
He had made Cleveland his home for more than the 50 years.
He was a member of the North Cleveland Church of God and loved fishing, landscaping and gardening.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by five brothers: Paul, Raymond, Fred, George and Tim.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 49 years, Loreta Clowers; his son, Bobby Clowers; one sister, Mary Swanson (George) of McDonald; one brother, Roy Clowers; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.
A graveside service is planned for Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at noon at the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., today in the parlor of Companion Funeral & Cremation Service.
