Josephine McNish Cedar, 87 of Bluffton, S.C., died Monday, Feb. 24, 2014.

She was born in Puerto Rico on June 12, 1926, the daughter of the late Joseph Vincnenty and Marie Rodriguez Vincnenty. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James McNish; and her son, Ronnie McNish, who was killed in action while serving during the Vietnam War.

She is survived by her husband, Gus Cedar; sons: Patrick Cedar and wife, Vicky, and Kevin Cedar, all of Cleveland; daughters: Mary Hall and husband, Buren, Chrissie Danson and husband, Patrick, and Doreen Tippett and husband, Brian, all of Cleveland; grandchildren: Catlin, Nicole, Collin, Anna, Mary, Taylor, Morgan, Jason, Elise and Elicjah; nephew, Damon Vincnenty of New Jersey; and nieces: Betty Sue Hart and Robin Stanberry, both of Knoxville, and Melody Vincnenty of New York.

The family will be receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 7, 2014, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC 29909. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, S.C.
