Shane Lawson, customer data manager at Cleveland Utilities, as well as the vice president of the KAB board, volunteered to help develop and design a new website for the recycling/environmental agency.
The address is www.clevelandbradleykab.com.
“We just wanted to get it up and running right now,” Lawson said. He also said he based his current design from a KAB brochure, including the mission statement, recycling information, names and locations of local facilities, upcoming events, etc.
“He made it real simple, so far,” said Joanne Maskew, executive director of KAB. She said she requested that the new, upcoming website be “very basic, very simple.”
“And, I’m going to add more photos, more color and information on joining and membership,” Lawson said.
Eventually, he plans to add an option of an online application, Paypal, a calendar, and the ability to download information into Microsoft or Google.
In addition, Lawson plans to possibly add a comment section, and links to maps with detailed information on events, etc.
“As time goes on, we’ll make it look really good. ... We can make it as elaborate as we want.”
A website like this one has been needed for quite some time, Maskew said.
“Shane has done an outstanding job,” she said.
