Kenneth C. “Kenny” Longwith, 45, a lifelong resident of Bradley County, passed away Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, at his home.
He had been employed at Bowater Paper Mill for the last 25 years.
He was an avid car lover — his passion was show cars and motorcycles — and he attended all the car shows in the local area. He enjoyed playing basketball with his friends. Kenny was loved by all who met him and was a friend to all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles “Preacher” Longwith.
Survivors include his mother, Gwen Longwith of Charleston; brother, Jimmy Longwith (Donna) of Rock Hill, S.C.; two aunts; several cousins and a host of friends.
The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Cheatham officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
