Kindergarten registration for Cleveland City Schools begins on Thursday, May 9, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Jeff Elliott, curriculum supervisor, invites parents to register their upcoming kindergarteners at their prospective elementary school on that evening.

Children who were previously registered in March need not attend.

Students entering kindergarten in August must be at least 5 years old on or before Aug. 31.

Parents will need to provide their child’s birth certificate, Social Security number and an updated health immunization card before school begins.

City schools with kindergarten programs include Arnold, Blythe-Bower, Mayfield, Stuart and Yates.

Parents may contact the elementary school or Cleveland City Schools Office for additional information (472-9571).
