Susannah Biller and Austin Kness announce their civil union at the San Francisco City Hall to be followed by a religious ceremony on July 23 in Cleveland.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Tom and Martie Biller of Cleveland. She is the sister of Ben Biller of Cleveland.

She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and Northwestern University. Ms. Biller is a member of First Baptist Church of Cleveland.

The bridegroom is the son of Bob and Linda Meier of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He is the brother of Anne Meier of Ohio.

He is a graduate of the University of Iowa and Indiana University. He attends the Baptist Church.

The couple met when they shared debut performance of “Werther” by Jules Massenet at the San Francisco Opera, where they are both Adler Fellows. Ms. Biller is a soprano and Mr. Kness is a baritone.
