After going unbeaten in 11 matches during the regular season, the Lady Mustang frosh earned runner-up honors at the Battle of the Valley Tournament at Jim Smiddy Arena Saturday.

Going 3-1 in pool play, Walker Valley advanced to the four-team bracket play. After defeating the host Bradley Central squad 25-5, 25-11, they had a rematch with the only team to beat them this season — Farragut.

The Lady Mustangs fought hard in the finals with a close first game of 23-25, and then came back strong to defeat the Admirals 25-8, before a heartbreaking loss of 9-15 for their final game.
