Attempting to bounce back from a tough match at Rhea County, The Ocoee Middle School golf teams were back on the course on Wednesday at Chatata Valley Golf Club hosting teams from Cleveland Middle and Chilhowee Middle. Consistent scoring was the recipe for success for both the Lady Colts and Colts. Olivia Williams continued her great play with a 44 in leading the ladies to a 3-stroke victory over Chilhowee and a 9-stroke victory over Cleveland.

Kelsey Cassada added a 49 for the girls. Danielle Bates led the Lady Bobcats charge, firing a stellar 40 while Rheagan Hall led the Lady Raiders with a 43.

On the boys side, four scores in the 40s were enough to post the win for the Colts, led by Parker Gray’s 42. Nick McCracken added a 43 while Colton Humbard and Tyler Ferguson posted 47 and 49 respectively for the team total of 181.

The Raiders of Cleveland were led by Allen Sweatman’s 41. Garrett Jones was the low man for the Bobcats firing a 56.

The Colts pushed their record to 8-2 while the ladies stand at 9-1 on the season. Both teams will take off for spring break and return to action April 2 at Brown Acres to take on Chattanooga Christian.
