The Walker Valley Lady Mustangs were on cruise control Tuesday night as they rolled into McMinn County High School and rolled out with a big District 5-AAA victory.
Walker Valley’s varsity took match in three straight games, going 25-13, 25-20 and 25-14 to move to 15-21 overall and 5-6 in the district.
Bristol Snider led the Lady Mustangs, notching an ace, nine assists, six kills, 15 digs and three receptions. Alex Rominger added 16 digs and 11 receptions. Abby Campbell had a pair of aces, eight assists and six digs.
Eryn Walker got an ace, an assist, six digs and three receptions. Baylee Boen had eight kills and a dig. Christian Whittemore had three aces and five digs. Ashyln Flock got two assists, two kills and four digs. Nikki Prugh had two aces, four kills and a dig.
Madison Pruett tallied three kills, a dig and a reception. Autumn Sizemore had two blocks and a pair of kills. Kaitlin Scoggins added a kill, two digs and a reception, and Madison Russo had a kill and a dig.
Walker Valley’s junior varsity had an even easier time of things, going 25-5 and 25-8.
Alexan Crittenden put up eight aces, five assists, three kills, a dig and a reception to lead the JV Lady ’Stangs. Russo contributed seven aces and three kills. Scoggins had two aces, five digs and a reception. Flock added four assists and two digs.
Abbie Mason notched four kills and two digs. Sara Wilson had a pair of receptions, Kateland West had three kills, and Mikayla Lumpkin had an ace and an assist.
Walker Valley’s varsity will be back in action Friday as they take part in the Battle of the Valley at Jim Smiddy Arena.
