The performance will be a compilation of scenes from various operas and operettas, such as Mozart’s The Magic Flute and Cosi Fan Tutte, as well as Bizet’s quintet from Carmen and Gilbert and Sullivan’s Mikado, among others.
The entire program will be sung in English with minimal set and costumes. This is the final project for the Opera Theatre class and all 25 students in the class will be performing.
The class consists of 23 vocal majors, one viola major, and one English major. The students range from freshman to graduate level in their studies, as well as their vocal experience.
The program is free and open to the public.
