Lee University’s School of Music will present a chamber recital on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in Squires Recital Hall, located in Lee’s Humanities Center.

The recital, led by Dr. Austin Patty, will feature pieces such as “Quartet in E-flat Major, Op. 1” by Walter Rabl, “Quartet No. 3 in D Major, Op. 7” by B.H. Crusell, “Quintet in D Major, Op. 42” by Zdenek Fibich and “Libertango” by Astor Piazzola.

“This is an exciting new group of talented musicians with exciting new music,” said Patty, associate professor of music at Lee. “Our collaboration grew out of the passion these students have for music and for the creative process of making chamber music together. The clarinetist, Jordan Robson, unearthed some delightful, little-known gems from the repertoire and organized the whole project.”

Musicians include Lee students Kristiana McCombs, cello; Jordan Robson, clarinet; Erica Tipton, horn; Wan-Lin Yu, piano; and Guanliang Zong, violin/viola, along with Patty on the violin.

This event is free of charge and open to the public.
