Lee University’s Opera Theatre and artistic director James Daniel Frost will present Gian Carlo Menotti’s opera, “Amahl and the Night Visitors,” directed by Tyler Steele.

The performance will take place on Nov. 23 and 24 at 7:30 p.m. at Church Street Annex (formerly First Baptist Church).

An opera packed full of tuneful songs and plot intrigue, “Amahl and the Night Visitors” is a fully staged, fully costumed production, with students and faculty performing the opera’s various roles.

The cast for the evening will include 12-year-old Garrett Wheeler as Amahl, grad student Lamprini Lindeman as the Mother, while the Three Wise Men will be portrayed by Lee student Aaron Murphy along with Frost and Lee professor Tony Deaton.

The opera is a free, non-ticketed event, and open to the public.
