He was a lifelong resident of Cleveland who loved squirrel hunting, gospel music and yard work. He always had a smile for everyone he met and lived for spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Callie Rogers; brothers: Bud, Jake, and Newtie Rogers; sisters: Beulah Martin and Gladys Harris; and a grandson, Jeff Ingram.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lissie Rogers; daughter, Linda Ingram and husband, Jack; son, Donald Rogers and wife, Sam; grandchildren: Lynn Ingram and Annette, Amy Rogers and Scott, and Andy Rogers; great-grandchildren: Kerri Gregg and Jared, Candace Ingram and Brad, and Jackie Ingram; great-great -grandchildren: Skylar, Paisley, Mackensley, Mason and Dylan; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family. He is also survived by special caregivers: Sam Fox and family, Caris Caregivers and Eagle Home Health Care Givers; and special brother-in-law, Arvil Weir.
The family will receive friends today, Sept. 30, 2012, from 2 to 4 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Short Creek Cemetery in Meigs County with the Rev. John W. Smith officiating.
