The Creative Discovery Museum will bring its inflatable planetarium to the library as part of the “Dream Big … Read” summer reading program on Friday.

This program will introduce the concept of stars and constellations as familiar pictures in the night sky.

Children will discover some of the constellations visible in our nighttime sky during this presentation and learn how to locate the constellations themselves.

This event is sponsored in part by the Friends of the Library Association. Call the Children’s Desk for more information on this program.

There will be a Star Gazing night July 26 as one of the last events of the summer reading program. Everyone is invited to the park across from the library on Lee University’s campus at Eighth and Ocoee streets.

Set up will begin at 8:50 p.m. Bring chairs or blankets and your telescopes if you desire. The library will be closed at 9 p.m. that night.

Nocturnal animals will be visiting our library from the Chattanooga Zoo on July 17.

Space is limited so call the Children’s Desk for more information.

Teens will be hosting a Murder Mystery on Friday as part of their summer reading program, “Own the Night,” at 7 p.m. Email teenzone@clevelandlibrary.org for more information and details.

The summer reading Book Club for adults will meet in the Community Room Thursday at 1 p.m. to discuss “Unbroken” by Laura Hillenbrand. Richard “Tiger” Jones will lead this discussion. All are invited to this Book Club discussion.

FOLA will be reviewing “The Abduction” by Mark Gimenez at its next Book and Coffee review.

The book review will be July 20 at the Craigmiles-Johnston House History Branch Library at 10 a.m.

Gimenez will be the guest author, also, at FOLA’s Fall Author Event on Oct. 16 at First Baptist Church.

The Cleveland Storytelling Guild will meet in the Community Room Tuesday at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend the meetings and listen to some wonderful stories and storytellers.
