The library is a quiet place to read, study, research information from books or computers.
However if patrons forget to turn off their cellphones (or put them on vibrate), our quiet library can become quite noisy and not such a good place to read or do research.
The library is trying to merge our modern day conveniences with the library’s purposes by adding cellphone zones in public areas of the library. They are located in the lobby downstairs and the Galleria on the second floor of the library. If you must talk to someone on your phone, please use these public areas. Cellphone free areas are clearly marked. The library wants to make the library as user friendly as possible and your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
TAG, the Teen Advisory Group, will be meeting Oct. 1 in the Teen Zone to plan the upcoming activities for teen events here at the library. All teens are welcome to attend the planning group and enjoy pizza while meeting and working with other teens.
