July 16 will be Library Day at Books-a-Million. The library will receive a percentage of sales that day when a customer tells the cashier when they make their purchase that they want to support the library. Be sure to go to Books-a-Million if you are planning to purchase any books on July 16. All funds will go directly to the Children’s department for additional materials. Come out and support your library.

It is still not too late to sign up for the summer reading program, “One World, Many Stories.” Read any books you want they do not have to be library books or books on a reading list to qualify.

The most important thing to do is to read the required number for your age group and then you can attend the Grand Finale Party on July 29 from 4 until 6 p.m.

You do need to register and complete your reading log to attend the party. This year’s party is sure to be the best ever, and one you do not want to miss.

France is the country for this week’s crafts and cooking sessions for the summer reading program. Be sure to register for all the activities at the Children’s Desk.

The library has a fax machine available for the public. If you want to send a fax and it is a local number, the cost is $1 for the first page and 50 cents for each additional page. If the number is long distance, the cost is $1.50 for the first page and 75 cents for each additional page.

There is a 25 cent charge for a cover page if you request one and a 25 cent charge for a printed confirmation. To send a fax, go to the nonfiction desk located on the second floor of the library.
