Dr. Corky Alexander, director of music, and the Life Bridges trio including Nancy Everett, Gary Gentry and Polly Loudermilk are looking forward to a week of music and inspiration as they launch their Sunnyside Tour. The tour starts on Wednesday and ends on June 4.

The Sunnyside Tour will begin with a performance at the Michael Dunn Center in Kingston, an agency also dedicated to serving individuals with intellectual and physical challenges.

From there the entourage travels to Johnson City and Kingsport. They will perform on May 31 at the Dawn of Hope agency.

The excitement will be readily apparent on June 1 as the Sunnyside Tour trio attends a Carter Family Fold Concert in the Hiltons community in Virginia. This will be very special for the performers because so many of the songs they sing are by the Carter Family.

On June 2, Polly, Nancy and Gary will sing at the Collinsville, Va., Pentecostal Holiness Church, and on Monday morning, June 3, the trio will entertain at the nursing home in Collinsville with performance songs and “movement music” that elicit involvement from the residents and encourage all to participate in movement therapy during the singing.

Tuesday, June 4, the group concludes its whirlwind tour with a performance at the Virginia Mental Health Institute in Danville, V.

Along with Alexander, Marietta Glenn of the support Staff of Life Bridges will accompany the trio, lending her support and helping with tour details.

The Life Bridges Trio has performed at Dollywood and often sing in churches and other venues in our community. If you haven’t heard them, they invite you to come listen to their joyful sound.
