Life Care Center of Cleveland, was hopping with activities on Easter.

Throughout the week leading up to the holiday, Deborah Norton, activity director, dressed as the Easter Bunny and visited local assisted living facilities, SkyRidge Medical Center, several physician offices and even Golden Corral, spreading joy.

Wanda Dukes, director of business development, went with her.

On April 17, the facility hosted an egg hunt for residents’ and associates’ families, as well as community children.

Residents stuffed plastic eggs with candy and small toys that morning as part of an activity, and associates hid them in the courtyard.

More than 30 children participated, and Gerald Crawford, executive chef, made festive punch and marshmallow Peep cupcakes.

“This was wonderful to get to invite my great-granddaughter to Life Care for the egg hunt,” said resident Uva Cofer. “We had four generations here.”

Residents also had fun participating in a “bunny hunt” inside the building. Associates put drawings of bunnies in the hallways and common areas for residents to find.

Life Care Center of Cleveland, located at 3530 Keith St., N.W., is one of 26 skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities in Tennessee operated or managed by Life Care Centers of America.
