Mr. and Mrs. William Nicholas Lillios of Cleveland announce the engagement of their daughter, Leah Card, to Steven Austin King, both of Nashville. A May wedding at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church is planned.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Glenn Card and the late Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Constantine Lillios. She is the sister of William Nicholas Lillios Jr.

The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. David Griffith King of Kiawah Island, S.C., and the late Judith Compton King. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Thayer King, the late Homer Barry Compton and the late Edith Dixon Witt. He is the brother of David Griffith King Jr. of Greenwich, Conn.

Miss Lillios is a graduate of Girls Preparatory School in Chattanooga and Tulane University A.B. Freeman School of Business, where she graduate cum laude in three years with a bachelor of science in marketing and management. She studied abroad in Madrid, Spain, and in Paris, France. She did graduate work at the London School of Economics in England and studied Swahili in Nairobi, Kenya, at the National Outdoor Leadership School. She volunteered with Cross Cultural Solutions teaching in Lima, Peru, and Yaroslavl, Russia. Se continued her studies of the Greek language at the Hellenic American Union in Athens, Greece. She is the owner and director of Kali Yuga Yoga Studio in Nashville.

Mr. King is a graduate of Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Va., where he was valedictorian. He graduated cum laude from Williams College in Williamstown, Mass., and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received a doctor of jurisprudence with honors from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is an attorney representing clients in the music industry in Nashville.
