Linda “Granny” Renslow Rogers, 70, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, Sept. 6, 2013.
She left this world surrounded by her family. While it is a temporary loss for her family and friends here, she is united with friends and family in Heaven and they are with their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She was a member of the Big Spring United Methodist Church, where she served as church treasurer and was a member of the James Sunday School class.
She had a large collection of bird houses. She enjoyed watching her birds and the deer in her backyard. But most of all, the joy of Linda’s life, was spending time with her kids and grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, J. L. and Irene Renslow.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 55 years, Lloyd Rogers; son, Jeff (Desty) Rogers; daughter, Lisa Rogers; grandchildren: Heath (Tasha) Sullivan, Josh Rogers, Jamie Rogers and Gage Sullivan; step-grandchildren: Jeremy Baggs, Jacob Baggs and Chelsea Bell; beloved sister, Jean (Bill) Millaway and Melanie Rogers, mother of Josh and Jamie; and a host of friends.
Funeral will be held Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Grissom Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Keith Sitzler and Ray Petty officiating. Music will be by Paul Tosch.
Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Heath Sullivan, Josh Rogers, Jamie Bishop, Brandon Burns, Marlon Ayala, Michael Rogers, Gage Sullivan, Jamie Rogers, Bo Ellis and Brad Millaway serving as pallbearers.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Big Spring United Methodist Church P.O. Box 2635 Cleveland, TN 37320 or the Living Water Missions, International P. O. Box 5408 Cleveland, TN 37320.
