FALL INSTRUCTIONAL LEAGUE

The Cleveland State Baseball program will offer a five week fall instructional league for high school aged players beginning Aug. 12 through September 15. Players will have the opportunity to further develop baseball skills through instruction and games. CLEVELAND CRUSH TRYOUTS

The Cleveland Crush 8-under traveling baseball tam will hold tryouts Aug. 17 at 9 a.m. at the Blue Springs Baseball fields. For more informaiton, contact Chris Higgins at (423) 284-6601.

D3 TRYOUTS

D3 baseball is hosting tryouts for the 2014 spring season Aug. 24 at the Bradley County Recreation Park on Urbane Road. This will be an open tryout for players that are ages 10-13. Registration will start at 9 a.m. Email d3stingers@yahoo.com for more information.

CSCC TOURNAMENTS

Cleveland State Community College will host fall baseball tournaments for 14- and 18-under high school select teams at Cougar Field. The 14-under tournament will be held Sept. 14-15 (2013 league age). There is an eight team limit. Deadline for entry is Sept. 6. The cost is $300. Teams will be required to supply a dozen baseballs. The 18-under tournament will be held Sept 28, 29. Deadline for entry is Sept. 20. The cost is $350. Teams will be required to supply a dozen baseballs. There is an eight team limit. BASKETBALL

FAST BREAK BASKETBALL

Fundamental basketball skills development training conducted by Vincent Yarbrough will be available on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday for the duration of the summer at Cleveland High School. Sessions will last 90 minutes. Yarbrough, a former Cleveland Blue Raider, was a 1998 McDonald’s High School All-American and was All-SEC at Tennessee. He was drafted by the Denver Nuggets of the NBA. LADY FLAMES ELITE CAMP

The Lee Univeristy Lady Flames Elite Camp is open to all upcoming high school sophomores, juniors and seniors who are serious about playing college basketball. The camp will be held Sept. 14 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Cost for the camp is $60, with a limited enrollment to the first 100 players to register. Registration deadline is Sept. 4. The ninth annual Mustangs and Lady Mustangs Golf Tournament will be held Aug. 24 at Chatata Vallwy. Tee off will be at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start. The format will be two-person. select shot. RALLY AT THE VALLEY

The second annual Rally at the Valley golf tournament to benefit the American Cancer Society Bradley County Relay For Life will be held Aug. 17 at Chatata Valley Golf Club. Registration will begin at 7 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8. The cost for the two-person, select shot tournament is $75 per player or $150 per team. Mulligans will be available for $5 with a limit of four per player. Awards will be given for first and second place.
