NEW TRAVEL TEAM
A new 12-under travel baseball team will start play this spring after the middle school season is over. Players cannot turn 12 before May 1 of this year. Playing mostly local tournaments, the cost will be low to participate. An experienced coaching staff will direct in a fun atmosphere. For more information or to set up a tryout call 715-5690.

POLK COUNTY RUGBY TEAM
The Polk County High School Rugby Club is seeking athletes from all of Bradley County to participate in another a season of rugby. The team will practice in Benton three to four times a week and play all home games in Charleston at the elementary school. The season runs from late February through mid May. The club sport is looking for male players from eighth through the 12th grade. Experience is not necessary. ASA UMPIRE MEETINGS SET
The Bradley/Cleveland Softball Umpire Association is recruiting umpires and scorekeepers for the 2013 ASA season and has set their preseason meeting dates and times. The group will meet on March 14 and 24. The Sunday meeting will be held at 2 p.m., while the Thursday meeting will start at 6 p.m. the meetings will be held at the Cleveland Community Center on South Church Street. LEE YOUTH SOCCER
Registrations is now open for the Lee 4v4 Youth Soccer League will begin March 12 at Lee University. The recreational league is for boys and girls ages 5 through 12 and is open to players of all skill levels from beginning to advanced. The league will go for six weeks and will be run by Lee coaching staff and players from the men’s soccer team. Skill clinics and training will be held on Tuesdays with matches played on Saturday mornings. Players and teams are selected according to age and ability. BASH-4-CASH
The Bash-4-Cash softball tournament wil be held March 9-10 at the Summitt Complex in Chattanooga. Classes included upper, lower, recreation, men’s and women’s upper and lower. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third in upper and lower classes. The entry fee is $250 for upper classes, $225 for lower and women’s classes and $200 for rec division. BASH AT THE SUMMIT
The Bash at the Summit softball tournament will be held March 9-10 at the Summit Complex in Chattanooga. The tournament is for youth teams 6-under through 18-under. There will be individual awards for 6- through 12-under teams and team award for other classes. The tournament is free for 6- through 8-under teams and $150 for all other classes. ZUMBATHON
Bradley Central High School will be hosting a Zumbathon benefitting the BCHS Track and Field team on March 9 from 9-11 a.m. The Zumbathon costs $10 and will be led by certified Zumba Fitness instructor Kelly Reis in the BCHS gymnasium.
