TWC Banquet
FIFTH-GRADE STUDENTS at Taylor Elementary School “planted” a synonym garden during their scheduled library classes taught by Beth Hooker. Students created flowers using paint samples for the petals and brown paper pieces for the seeds. Students wrote a common word with its synonyms listed on each petal and crumpled the paper to produce texture in the seeds.

ATHENS — Tennessee Wesleyan College recently held its Annual Athletic Banquet to honor the college's exceptional Bulldog athletes.

TWC junior and senior student athletes, coaches, and local community members celebrated this past year's Bulldog athletic achievements.

The banquet began with a year in pictures and recognition of postseason honors from last spring up to this spring. The postseason honors included TWC athletes who had been named to All-Conference teams or All-Academic teams, or who were awarded any other conference awards.

Academic Achievement awards, Champions of Character awards, and other special honors were given throughout the night.

Three students from Cleveland were honored at the event. Students Courtney Gobble, James Koon and Daelyn Swafford all received awards.
