Longtime former Bradley County Trustee and businessman Anderson “Jute” Miller passed away Sunday.

According to Bradley County Mayor D. Gary Davis, Miller served as trustee for Bradley County for 24 years.

His son, attorney Jeff Miller said, “He was the epitome of a gentleman.”

“I worked personally and professionally with Jute for many years,” Davis said.

Miller was a barber by profession, owning Jute’s Barber Shop, then later continued cutting hair on Saturdays after leaving office in 2006.

Funeral arrangements are being made by Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory.
