She was a charter member of Northside Presbyterian Church.
She retired from Bradley County Court House, Office of Assessor of Property, where she served as deputy assessor of Bradley County. She was a member of East Tennessee Association of Assessor Offices. She previously worked at Burlington Industries and Brown Stove Works Credit Union.
She was a former member of Cleveland Art Guild Writing Division. She attended the University of Tennessee and graduated from Cleveland State Community College.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Preston S. Webb and Genevieve McMahan Webb.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, William G. Emrey Jr. of Cleveland; sons: William G. Emrey III (Lori) of Ooltewah and John A. Emrey (Angel) of Athens; daughter, Karen Emrey Collins (Jon) of Cleveland; brother, John P. Webb (Linda) of Townsend; brother-in-law, Milton A. Emrey, of Cumming, Ga.; six grandchildren: Sarah Elizabeth Emrey, William G. Emrey IV, Alexis G. Emrey, Preston J. Emrey, James Herman Collins, and Katelynn Jewel Collins; and several nephews and a niece.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at Northside Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Heidi Johnson officiating.
Interment will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Townsend at 3 p.m.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral service.
